Colombian drought triggers $39.5mn Munich Re parametric payout to hydropower operator
Colombian public utilities company Grupo EPM received a multi-million-dollar payout on its weather derivative program with Munich Re subsidiary NewRe after a drought affected hydropower operations in the first half of 2024, Parametric Insurer can reveal.
