India mulls $10bn parametric pandemic backstop with GIC Re

A working group of the Indian insurance regulator, Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), has recommended setting up a pandemic risk backstop with capacity of $10bn that would be administered by GIC Re.
